On Monday, April 28, 2014, Shawn Hogan (aka “Overlord of no one”) in the criminal case 5:10-cr-00495-EJD-1 – USA v. Shawn D. Hogan was sentenced to 5 months in federal prison, a $25,100 fine, and 3 years’ probation, for Wire Fraud.

Not the toughest sentence, mind you, for someone who stole millions, but at least not a slap on the wrist either.

Monopoly "Go To jail" Card

Go To jail. Go directly to Jail.

No “Get out of Jail Free” card for Shawn, this time, baby. This is legit – jail time with other criminals, not the wanna-be tough guys (mods) on Digital Point. He has to report for his sentence at Lompoc on July 14, 2014 at 2PM.

Lompoc Prison

Lompoc Prison

Now, I have to admit, that Lompoc is (only) a low-security prison, but Shawn will have some notable cell mates, including Bernie Ward, former radio host and political commentator.

And when he gets out, he has some interesting (funny) special probation conditions to contend with, including:

1. Upon release from confinement, the defendant shall reside for a period of five (5) months, in a Residential Re-Entry Center (RRC) in the San Diego, California, area, and shall observe the rules of that facility. The defendant shall remain at that facility until discharged by the supervising probation officer.
2. …
3. The defendant shall not open any new lines of credit and/or incur new debt without the prior permission of the probation officer.
4. The defendant shall provide the probation officer with access to any financial information, including tax returns, and shall authorize the probation officer to conduct credit checks and obtain copies of income tax returns.
5. The defendant shall submit his person, residence, office, vehicle, or any property under his control to a search. …
6. The defendant shall use only those computers and computer-related devices, screen user names, passwords, e-mail accounts, and Internet service providers (ISPs), as approved by the Probation Officer. Computers and computer-related devices include, but are not limited to, personal computers, personal data assistants (PDAs), Internet appliances, electronic games, and cellular telephones, as well as their peripheral equipment, that can access, or can be modified to access, the Internet, electronic bulletin boards, and other computers, or similar media.
7. The defendant shall cooperate in the collection of DNA as directed by the probation officer.
8. …

Hilarious, especially #6 above (my emphasis). Just how is the “overlord” going to run his Digital Point empire and cookie-stuffing scheme without proper access to computers and the interwebs? Oh, that’s right, with the help of his Nazi mod-buddies, of course…

Enjoy your jail-time Shawn, you criminal you… :)
